Positive Legacy, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit arm of Cloud 9 Adventures, is committed to integrating live music and service by taking actions that positively impact the communities we visit. Positive Legacy’s mission inspires music fans and artists to collectively take action and build a better world. The goal is to develop service activities that people can participate in to bring a deeper sense of purpose to their travel experiences and the music surrounding it.

During Closer to the Sun, fans can participate in a Day of Service and donate an afternoon to make the local community a better place. Past Day of Service activities have included beach cleanups, school painting, park building, and more. In 2021, our crew assembled more than 300 supply bags. These food and supply boxes were made from recycled hotel uniforms and curtains and donated to families in need throughout Quintana Roo.

Come grab a cocktail and bid on unique memorabilia – including autographed photos, concert tickets, and hand-crafted items – during our Charity Auction. In December 2021, Common Kings played an acoustic pop-up set bringing in guests just in time for the auction… and people were ready to bid! The combined live and online auctions raised a whopping $64,000 –our highest grossing auction in history! Auction proceeds support Positive Legacy’s various environmental and sustainability projects throughout Mexico.
